Rain, (AC) condensation, tap, hard, soft and well water, distilled, R/O,, versus gee, I wish I could use dehumidifier water, furnace condensation water. I know you need enough of the same type of water throughout the grow. I use distilled water and no room for an R/O system and I need water options. My hard tapwater is not bad. A quick boil experiment seemed to increase the tapwater PPM, maybe I could have strained the water through a coffee filter.

About a week left for Master Kush. Purple plant and plants on the ends are Rockstar Kush phenotypes.
Next. 1 plant too many. Super cropping. Rockstar and Master Kush. O haze+C99.
Fantastic! Look at the size of those colas!!
Harvesting in 2 days. Let my tap water set out 32-24 hours. Proper PH water and soil.
I need to put my other plants in here for blooming they will be almost twice as big as these. Biggest, thickest, dankest ( amber trichromes) that I ever grown. A few plants could go longer.
About 21 days to go Rockstar Kush, Master Kush, Purple death Bubba Kush, Blueberry Kush, O haze + C99. Flushing day.
New PH pen dialed in my soil, looking good, dropped my PH pen in water, upside down, ugh. Good thing I took notes on PH'ing, nutes, and dosage amounts until my new $12 pen arrives. Supercropping plant takes a week longer than my others, so I started it a week earlier
. Nice healthy difference from the last grow at 7 weeks. Thanks @MrGrowit for helping dial in my grow system.
I found out about Drops of Balance (Perfect Gardens, thanks Mr. Grow it.) for tap water adjustment to Chloramine and other contaminates. Expensive, but may be worth it for bad tap water. I read you can change the chemical compound of Chloramine, but you are substituting one thing for another to adjust. Not sure how effective Drops of Balance is, but, I imagine it does the job.
Blueberry Kush a small bud that I trimmed.
Purple death Bubba Kush could have went 4 or 5 more days. A small bud that I trimmed.
New start
Final results: I purchased a new ESYNIC Water Tester Digital Water PH Meter, the other new yellow PH pen was from a different manufacturer. ESYNIC was good for my last PH pen and this new pen is good. Final harvest crop looks dry and bad, but, it is okay after suffering PH, Calmag problems. Did major HST and found they make bigger buds. Purple Death could have went 4 or 5 more days, Blueberry Kush is done. Also taking notes for PH, PPM for each nutrient, microbes, and how much PH up, PH down added, etc..
Next crop is super cropping O haze +C99, Blueberry, Purple death, Rock star Kush, Master Kush!
4.0, 6.86, and 9.18 solutions. Back to trusting solution testing over pens. Calibrating these pens has been hit and miss. The newest pen malfunctions the most.
I use 2 calibrated PH meters (not that I truly rely on these anymore) and the solution test for more accuracy. Low PH in my soil caused low CaMg uptake. Harvest should be good, but leaves have some damage. I will post harvest soon.
Plants look better. I believe that I need to PH before I add Ca Mg. Watched your latest YouTube video Dude Grows, I may have to try Recharge.
It takes about three and a half hours for one gallon.
Google search: Pure distilled water should be neutral with a pH of 7, but because it absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, it's actually slightly acidic with a pH of 5.8.
I bought a water distiller from Amazon for less than $100. My tap water is 220 ppm, after I its run through the distiller it’s 4 ppm.
I notice alot more browning and the only difference is going in with 7.0 PH distilled water and now starting my mix with tap water around 8.0 PH. Tomorrow morning I will start with tap water, 1, Silica, 2. PH down 1.0+ PH(old distilled PH amount), 3. Ca Mg, 4. Fox Farm nutrients 5. PH. I think the PH maybe affecting my Ca Mg.
I will also write down each change in PH and PPM when I add the mix to my tap water. I will check run off on my plants. I shoot for final 6.6 - 6.7 PH.
I am glad to dial this in now instead of trying to dial this in with my new grow Rockstar Kush and Master Kush, plus Purple death Bubba Kush, Blueberry Kush and O Haze + Cinderella 99 re- grows.
Lacking a little Ca Mg, PH stress, small wind burn is my diagnosis. Purple death Bubba kush and Blueberry Kush.
I watered the same 1. Silica, 2. Ca Mg 3. Fox Farm nutrients, 4. PH'd. Week 8 Bembe lowered PH. Run off levels were fine. I like how the 25% distilled water tempered the tap water's PH and PPM, but my end goal is 100% tap water. The plants seem fine, but I am concerned of the little browning.
PH stress? More Ca Mg? Looks like more spots are developing. I will check the PH and PPM run off tomorrow. I just flushed and checked run off. Normally, I don't need to check run off all the time. I will be at 75% tap water 25% distilled tomorrow for the start of week 8 fertilizer. I have not needed to PH (usually around 6.6 ) after using 1. Silica, 2. C Mg, and 3. Fox Farm nutrients, normal dosage. Tomorrow I may try 1. Silica, 2. Ca Mg, 2. PH water 3. Fox Farm nutrients 4. PH water.
I am at 50% tap and 50% distilled water. By next week I should be full tap water use for my plants. I notice browning on one leaf of a plant and on the tip of another leaf for a different plant. Possibly normal defoliation.
I'm not sure we have any experts on here that can translate and provide recommendations. You may want to consider consulting. The Soil Doctor does them for water and soil. Here: https://www.soildoctorconsulting.com/shop/water-test-recommendations
I have about 2 weeks of distilled water left. I will dilute my cold tap water (after it has set out for 24 hours) a little more each watering cycle with my distilled water for my plants that have about 6 weeks before harvest. Hopefully, I won't notice a difference.
I think the 'Total Hardness' is the total PPM in this case and 151 PPM is not too bad. I would use this tap water.
City water report came in the mail, today.
I understand your wording "boil off" the water causes more PPM's to be left behind. My cold tap water was 205 PPM and 8.30 PH. 2 gallons left out over night changed to 212 PPM and 7.96 PH to evaporate the chlorine.
My quick research also showed organic grows have a more concern of chloramine and absorbic acid will neutralize but not remove. 12-24 hours will reduce the chlorine letting water set out. I am thinking of week 7 of changing from distilled to hard tap water? But, PH'ing and setting water out. Not sure on neutralizing chloramine which means I may only PH. Definitely will use distilled on seedlings and clones. Then about 2nd or 3rd week I will try my tap hard water. Have you used tap water and modified it without recommended filters?
260PPM is not too bad and you should be able to work with that. Not sure if coffee filters would lower the PPM but I have heard some people have limited success with Brita water filters.
Here is a discussion on PPM that includes a handy chart on PPM levels during the various stages of growth.

Not totally an organic grow(soil), I use Fox Farm nutrients, plus General Organics additives. 260 PPM run off from the tap. Why would you expect higher PPM's after Boil? I believe it brought up to about 480 PPM after boil. I have hard water.
Hi, tap water is often ok to use once you adjust the PH. Are you doing an organic grow? If so, chlorimide in the tap water could be a problem.
What is the PPM of your tap water? I would expect the PPM to go up as you boil off the water.
