Different genetics will ripen at different times. What strains are you growing there?
Its hard to tell exactly when they will change but, If they are clear and the time frame is about right then I would start checking them like every other day, if not every day. If you harvest when they are mostly cloudy you will get a more energetic high, and if you wait for them to turn amber you will get more of a couch lock high. Personally I go for like 50/50 cloudy/amber, but its of course up to you.
Have you read the harvesting and flushing part of the book yet ? It will give you a good starting point.
