Got somePeanut Butter breath X Subterfuge1 F1 beans
Which showed no signs of Freak Sub1 looking phenotypes in F1, as expected.
So, I selected two based on smell and structure and proceeded to the F2 generation. F2 still didn't have what I wanted in terms of phenotype or the frequency of recessive freak traits were still at a low percentage. I only popped about 20 of the F2 beans. After selecting two more for smell and structure, I went forward to F3 generation. NOW I AM SEEING FREAKS........I've only popped around 25 of the F3 Generation but im seeing a decent percentage of the Phenotype that i am looking for.
Here are some of the Peanut Butter Breath X Subterfudge 1 F3 phenotypes I have so far. :)
This one looks most like Subterfudge 1 I believe.
The plan now is to flower these out and select for speed of grow, bud structure, and smell.
If I don't get the potency that I am looking for then I will most likely cross them again to something with more power. My hope is that with Peanut butter breath as a grandparent, some of those terps and fuel will come out. Fingers crossed
This project has been over a year so far and I almost stopped working on it for fear on not finding any recessive phenotypes.... Then the F3s started hittin' and I was relieved! HAHA
