If you are starting your cannabis grow using seeds, you can either plant the seeds directly into soil or you can first do the seed germination process. Germinating your seeds prior to placing them into soil will help ensure the seed will sprout from the soil.
Mr.C Growin4B, a grower on YouTube, is beginning his newest grow by first germinating some cannabis seeds. He has a very simple germination process which includes a shot glass, some water, and a paper towel. Here are the steps that he takes to germinate cannabis seeds:
Take a shot glass and fill half way with water
Drop your seeds into the water (the seeds will most likely float at this point) and then wait 12 hours
Use your fingers to push the seeds down to the bottom of the glass - some may stay floating, this is ok.
Pour the cup of water into a paper towel and fold up the seeds in the paper towel.
Keep the paper towel moist and in a dark place. Temperature should be around 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
After 24 hours in the wet paper towel, all seeds should have produced a tap root. Now plant them into soil.
