Cutting clones from your cannabis plants is certainty cheaper than buying seeds for every grow. Although, your freshly cut clone won't survive if you don't treat it right. Luckily, there are several tips for cutting cannabis clones that will increase your chances of survival.
PissDrunx0420, a grower on YouTube, currently has several plants of Dark Dragon strain in 7 gallon pots. He just transplanted them into Foxfarm Ocean Forest soil and he plans to do the SCROG method with those plants. He wants to continue growing Dark Dragon strain so he cut clones from his plants that are still in the vegetation stage. Here are some of the tips that he recommends:
Cut under node at a 45 degree angle.
Then remove branches/leaves right above node (this will signal itself to root)
Dip clone into rooting solution (or brush solution onto clone)
pH Jiffy pellets prior to placing your clone in it.
In the video below, PissDrunx0420 shows his process of cutting clones. Additionally, he built a SCROG net and shows how he made it.
