Hi newbie here asking if during the dark period will I need to close all my vents on tent etc to keep it all dark as currently I have to run a few them open along with a 4”intake to keep my humidity down so just wondering what happens when I switch and need to have dark period will the humidity shoot up.

Yes cannabis is very sensitive to light. Turn the lights off. There should be complete darkness with no light leaks. You can use an inline fan to exhaust the humidity out of the grow tent when needed. Many growers will put their inline fan on 24/7 so they are constantly changing out the air in the grow space
