Here are pics of the 6" filtered light proof fresh air intakes I made for my grow tent to go with my 6" AC Infinity exhaust fan.
The filters keep alot of dust (and cat hair lol) out of my sticky flowers! Filter material came from Walmart, it's for a window ac unit and have been cut to size. Ducts are from home depot, three adjustable 90deg ducts per intake and one top cap ordered from home depot website and foil tape for the seams and flat black spray paint for the inside of the ducts to eliminate reflection. Top pic shows cap off and filter material (cut in a square) inside with all the dust and cat hair it kept out. Bottom pic (sideways lol) shows light proof duct. They have clamps that hold them on so the tent can be unzipped all the way around the side and pulled back and ducts stay attached and make it easy.

I made these because I couldn't find any info on light proof intakes and didn't want to use the dryer vent with all the ribs inside that are like speed bumps slowing the air flow down.
I have one on each side of my tent.
