I took cuts from an especially vigorous Strawberry Cough auto. They are in a small tent breeding with each other. I took the cuttings at 4 weeks and after two weeks of Silver Thiosulphate they are showing male sacs. I dont see the value in cloning autos otherwise.
Actually it can be done. If you check out "shaping Fire" podcast with Shango los, He has an episode with a lady that is doing it. I didn't look into her very well to see what kinda success she has, but it is possible.
An Auto has a set life span. If you take a cutting, that cutting will still try and flower at the same time as the mother.
For Photo Periods, you control when they start to flower by changing the amount of light. So you can take a cutting from a Photo Period and then you decide when it goes into flower, not so with an Auto.
You can but it will flower very quickly leaving you with a yield that isn't worth it for most.

Yes but probably no is the long answer, here's a video that talks about cloning autos.

You can not clone an Auto.
