Good evening Chris, first off we love what you do and hope your dad is doing better! I am having a problem understanding ph with coco. Do you worry about run off ph with coco? I am feeding synthetic in drip feed 2-3 time per day. My ph in is 5.8-6.1. My runoff and recently bought a ph pen from blue lab for soil/medium is 4.9-5.1. My coco medium is at around 4.9-5.1 as well. Like I said my in ph is 5.8-6.1. Can you elaborate on this. Should I only worry about my ph going in and not worry about ph in the coco or run off? I was having an issue and tried feeding at 7.0. ph in medium came up to 6 but noticing some purpling stems now. I cannot find any thread and our forum that really dives into ph in coco and what medium should be and what runoff should be. I recently saw something you wrote that said do not worry about run off ph in coco. So should I only care about in and not worry about out/runoff in coco on drip/fertigate system as far as ph goes? Feeding 2-3 times a day to runoff at 750-800 ppm at day 17 of flower. Thank you for your help!

5.8 pH going in, ignore runoff pH. The next Garden Talk episode I release will be all about growing in coco coir. I highly suggest you check that out when it's released since it has a lot more info.
