Chris did you have to add anything else to your soul or just the dry mix to the soil? Just ordered for my next go round.but in video looks like you may have encountered some problems.
Here is an idea I use that might help. I run organic but my soil is pretty hot with ammendments, at least for seedlings. So what I do is fill my pots (5 gal) and then I scoop out 1 or 2 small handfuls from the center of the pot and replace that with a mild starter soil. That way, they sprout and start growing in mild soil and by time the roots get out to the hot soil, the plant is mature enough to handle it. Hope this helps. Good Growing.
Thank you, I have been considering this technique for a while. How do you add dry amendments after the seedling phase? I have followed directions, but still have small yields.
Right now I am growing autos, but have some bag seeds I want to try. I have been growing about a year although feel like a fng every grow! Have you worked with liquid nutrients?
@belkodell I amend my soil in between runs, so therefore I dont really use dry ammendments during my grows. When I do feed them, I use fish hydrolysate during veg and bloom. And sometimes I use "RAW Soluble" all in one veg and bloom. You can mix it with water. I also use a few other products but they are not fertilizers. As for your small yields, 90% of the time, your issue is somewhere else and not your feeding regiment, light foremost, strain, environment etc. Hope this helps, Good Growing.
Hi! I know this is an old thread, hopefully you’ve worked with earth dust more. I am REALLY trying with this stuff and want to continue, but run after run my plants seem weak and I have to try to supplement. I broke down and purchased recharge and Cali magic. Those two SAVED my crop. I have followed directions to the letter, reached out to the company, followed those directions, but still having problems with health and overall yield. Any suggestions? I tried adding base to ffof and cooking, but burnt my seedlings pretty bad. I’ve tried using base in reused soil, which was just okay. This last run I mixed up my own potting/peat/coco/base and it’s only been okay. Does anyone like this better than the liquid nutes? I have the ff trio in my cart and am tempted to try it this next run. thanks in advance!
I only tried using the Boost with some microbes. I didn't use the Base. I attempted to use FFOF (FoxFarm Ocean Forest) soil and then top dress Boost 1 tbsp per gallon of medium before flipping to flower and then again mid-flowering. I top dressed on day 30 (Autoflower from sprout) as the plant was showing preflowers. I then top dressed again on day 60. If I remember correctly, on day 50 is when I started seeing dying leaves. The plant bounced back for a bit after the 2nd top dressing but I feel a majority of flowering the plant didn't receive sufficient nutrition. I spoke to Dan over at The Green Sunshine Company and he said the Boost is meant to be used with the Base. Some of the ingredients in Base is slow-release and lasts into/throughout flowering. So, me not using Base is more than likely the problem here. This current run I'm using FFOF soil again and have increased the amount that I'm top dressing of Boost. So far so good. I'm determined to get a successful run using FFOF soil and dry nutrients. If increasing the amount of Boost doesn't work then i'll try adding the Base to FFOF soil; I'm just worried it will burn my plants since FFOF has nutrients already amended in it.

Why not do a 30/70 etc mix when top feeding during pre flower ? Would that help I too was thinking using ffof because what I’ve always used
I am gonna use a rerun of ffof and cut it with a third Coco coir and a third perlite and use dust as directed and see what happens.
