My state literally Just legalized, and this is my first attempt at growing. My question is, when i look up info on the strain, it say flowering is 8 weeks (Cherry Pie, indoors, soil). I'm pretty sure that means just the flowering stage. So, that doesn't include germination, a week or so as a seedling, a month or so in Veg, an so on. At least, I think that's what it means, and not 8 weeks total.....?

You are correct. So basically, after you flip to a flowering light cycle and start to see pistils (on female plants), you start counting flowering days. Some growers will disagree and say always start to count flowering days on the day you start the flowering light cycle.
