7 steps To Grow Cannabis on page 79, says that "most strains should be in the flower stage for 8-10 weeks before being harvested".
Does that include the first three weeks or the stretching phase?
Just want to know, so I know when I can start my 2nd grow.

Yes, it includes the first 3 weeks (stretching phase). So 8-10 weeks = 56-70 days. Now there are some genetics that will finish slightly earlier than that. There are also some genetics that will finish later than that. Some sativa strains can go 11-13 weeks in flowering.
i go by monitoring the grow - once i notice flower i will start the clock for an average of 45 to 70 days until harvest -- during this time i will monitor the trichomes once a week to every two weeks until i think its ready for harvest - that is when the trichomes are about 5 to 7 % amber from top down - top might be about 7% amber but the bottom area might be only about 5% to me this is just right for my liking
others go a bit longer where the top is about 10 % and the bottom about 7 % but it will vary by each grower as to when they harvest - i would imagine it will include the stretching stage
