Hi all,
I done a little experiment. I took the top off an Auto (OG Kush) and planted it, it rooted well and has developed into a stunning big plant of its own, albeit mid cycle. I decided (given my bumper harvest of the rest of the plants) to leave this one to settle and maybe even turn a lot more golden in trichomes than usual. It's been many for weeks now! No sign of amber yet, 16 days to be precise.
Along with an interesting test and eventually the hope this will be a bit more mellow than the "knock your head off" rest of the crop, it brings up the question in my head. What is happening between the milky stage early and milky stage later on, potency, flavour? I'll take a wee picture later for ya'll
When the trichomes are milky, they are at their highest potency. When they turn to amber, they have converted from THC to CBN. Not sure if that answers your question as from my understanding there is no "milky stage early" and "milky stage later on"
Following, I plan on doing the same thing.
