Sadly but excitingly if that makes sense lol I have chopped and the drying of these babies has been going on. Here’s one of the girls. I’m super happy with the result. I took the other tent down about 12 days ago and forgot to post those but let me tell ya. Shit was FIRE! Hard to explain but the closest thing I can think of is the smell was something like sipping sweet tea while putting diesel in your truck lol. The taste is a bit harder to describe but when I find something that hits it on the head I’ll share my thoughts on that. Taste amazing by the way! And shit does it hit! I’ve logged all my variables with this journey and I’m about to apply it on another go to see if it’s a formula that is repeatable with other strains. I will say this though, if you wanna boost trichome production, shock them, make them go into defense mode. I did this with the introduction of 85-87 degree runs of about 9 hours for 5 days in a row and it definitely did it’s thing. I wanna try the cold shocking method and see which one does better. Thanks to all that helped me through this one! See ya on the next one!
Wow! Nice looking girls! Yeah, that looks like new bud growth, sometimes buds keep popping right up until harvest. Don't let the odd late bud influence when you harvest if the trichomes on the main buds look good.
Probably not until near the end or after. If your girls are completely pollinated you might see the seeds forming near the outside of the bud closer to harvest. If just a little bit then you may not know until after you harvest.
Last time I had seeds it was from a run that produced about 6 ounces from two plants. I did not know I had seeds until I ground up a bud. The buds were still ok to smoke and I got about 20 viable seeds out of the 6 ounces. So not the end of the world and a buddy is growing some of those seeds now.
There is nothing obviously wrong in the pictures, I wouldn't stress about it.
Now relax and repeat after me: Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ;o)
@Cap Stone lol cool cool these are supposed to be fem autos. Autos they obviously are but I’m just hoping I didn’t stress them enough to turn a herm. It’s my first grow but I’m growing at the high end of environmental factors Just to see, next grow will be with temps and the lower end.
@Dre Ortiz Well every pheno uptakes nutrients differently so it's normal that some plants are fine and others may be struggling. That's one downside of DWC - every plant needs to be fed the same. No, it's not too late to supplement CalMag. That seems to be what's missing.
@Mr. Grow It yea, I fed them yesterday and gave them some cal/mag so let’s see what happens. It looks like half of them are gonna be ready for harvest 2 maybe 3 weeks before the others.
@Creager@Mr. Grow It or anyone that’s has gone through this type of discoloratio, can you point me in the right direction as to what’s going on? Currently ph is at 6.1. I’m think cal/mag deficiency or a phosphorus one?
So just to recap, started off super crazy with rapid and aggressive growth! These are all Gelato Autos from ILGM if anyone was curious. Tent # 2 I topped after the 4 set of leaves and tent one was untouched. As tent 2 got out of hand @Creager suggested lollipop’n and thinning out those big fan leaves. So I just copied and pasted to tent one. I’ve gotta say I did notice the plants start to drink more water and just seemed happier overall as my bud sites that were already established started to swell and the girls that had nothing impressive started to get focused! We have reached the 60th day and I’m loving the process! Seriously this thing has quickly become my favorite thing to attend to. And I’m pretty proud of what I’ve got so far. ..…buuut I’m nervous about ol’ jungle tent over here. There is one girl in there getting pretty fat but the others seem to still be lagging way behind. If anybody wants to chime in on suggestions or wants me to let them ride out just to see what happens I’m all for it. Thanks for everyones support so far. Y’all are awesome!
Stretching should be stopping any day now and they will then focus on bud production. Every pheno is different so I wouldn't worry about one having a more developed bud structure. Nice job so far; those are some big autos 🌳
@Mr. Grow It thanks bro! I’m actually just taking pics for an update. I’ve actually got 2 4x4‘s rolling so I wanted to give everyone a good look at what’s going on here. They have been grown all the same minus a nute mishap which is why you’ll see a difference in ppm but man this is my first hack at this and I’m hooked! Super hooked! I‘ve got some experimenting that I wanna give a shot so having 2 systems same/same is gonna be sweet. Can’t wait for this one to finish and start the next!
I agree you need to wait a week or two. There still are some fan leafs blocking pristine buds so try tucking them behind the cola for now. Those buds need need light and not a big leaf laying on top of them. You’re doing great and I also hope you get a massive harvest. Look forward to seeing your progress brother!
Nice job! Those look really good! You my friend, can without a doubt benefit from low stress training lol. I'm finishing up a run right now and have a Northern Light auto that is about 50 inches tall and thats with l.s.t. If you do happen to damage a limb on accident, tape it back up and you should be solid.
@gregthe357 thanks! with this being my first go I was trying to just let them go to see what happens when left alone, then start introducing LST,HST, etc… on subsequent runs and just document to see all the changes that each make happen, buuut this got out of hand lol
So bit of an update, i did a bit more trimming. But also could someone explain why I’ve got half my girls producing what seems to be some nice bud sites and the others are skinny and barely coming through?
My guess would be because the plant spent so much food and energy on those leaves and limbs it never had a chance to use it for the buds. You quite literally had a mini jungle. The plants spent so much energy on new fan leafs to actually reach the light and photosynthesize it never had a chance to grow buds.
Not to mention the buds need the direct light which only a handful of nodes were actually receiving. Now that it’s cleaned up and it does look great by the way- HUGE difference- hopefully what buds are now trying to grow will condense for you
@Creager I sure hope so, I’m hoping for a great harvest! thanks, I feel like I can remove a few more fan leaves on the skinny one but im scared I’ll shock the plant.
Yeah those really big fan leafs can be cut off. Don't rip every single one off, but maybe 40% you have a really thick brush going on and I don't know how you don't already have bug issues yet. The air circulation has to be at a bare minimum in there. No bueno!
You'll be able to see what's literally in a shadow. Either remove the branch that wont reach the light, or remove what you can so it gets some light. No light = no big buds and the plant will be wasting it's energy on it instead of producing big buds.
Here's what I did - It's not nearly as big as your girls, but some insight. I trimmed the crap out of the fan leaves to ensure I had a good light penetration hitting my canopy to create even buds all over the grow
Also as a side note, I LOVE the plastic pallet you have the ladies sitting on. Genius! Can you remove it? That has to be killing some space right there for your girls. I know those are filled with water and nutrients and I see the piping, but it would give you some much needed space. Food for thought
@Creager yea I only have it elevated so the pipes could go through a hole that’s already in the tent. I didn’t wanna cut the tent. Otherwise that an extra 7”! I kinda wanna redo it and just maybe use a couple of elbows and shape the pipe over and out the hole to give me that extra space. Idk yet lol. But yea I’ll definitely cut some more out today. Thanks for the help! it’s is greatly appreciated!
Update photos! I tried posting early but doesn’t look like it went through? what do y’all think? I feel like I could clean up that top canopy a bit more.
You definitely got some monster colas! Nice job!
Looks great nice job
WOW! Nicely done!

Ok here we are day 84! This is new flower growth right? 2nd picture.

also this is from one of the stretched out ones. This is ok right? I’m not looking at a Herm or anything right?
Day 69 from seed folks.
what ya think?
hopefully just a few more weeks.
I’m in a rdwc setup, so my ppm right now is 1350 and 6.1 is the ph

Aaaand tent number 2, aka the jungle!!!
Ok guys so here is tent #1
