3 ft away? Just curious, where did you hear to do that light distance? That's very far. When I was growing with the HLG 100 V2 I had it 12" away from the top of my plant when in flowering.
Edit: How old is the plant? If seedling or early veg then it should be higher than 12"
Hlg told me 34-38’ when I first got it. My plant was starting to flower but last week veg maybe. I was adjusting it lower to see how the plant reacts. And it’s been it every since. Ive lowered its in flower but idk why the signs. Or am i being to cautious? Them i don’t want to mess up progress on her. My 3x3 is on 12/12 first week flower and it’s 43” away turned down. And not in the middle. And it stresses the leaves where they get 3/d looking and new growth is very thin. When I move the pot back. It thrives 🤷🏽♂️
@Revolutionary Gnosis Interesting. Yeah I usually do 12" away when in flowering. I did a PAR test on that grow light and this may help you determine light distance:
