I would agree with @Andrew H and up pot soon. I would think pinching off a root creates an energy focus point the plant has to repair and not energy towards growing. I would let nature take coarse and the light and air will dry it out and fall off naturally. With that being said depending how long you plan on veg adding the flower period I wouldn't want to risk root bound during flower. Just my opinion.
@Andrew H they are around 20 to 25 days old, I've looked into it a bit and found a video explaining pinching the tips that grow out will put more energy into other root tips to search for moisture creating a good root system
@troydolton1989 the air will also naturally prune those tips for you. I am not saying that pruning manually will not work but I personally have not done it

I would not pinch the roots but depending on where you are at in the grow it could be time to transplant
I have that sometimes...like this- it's been fine for me. This is veg before transplant. I do not have them do this in the larger(7G.) Flower pot tho-
