If growing hydroponically, many growers suggest checking in with your plants 2 times a day to adjust the pH/PPM of the reservoir. If you're growing in soil or coco coir, you can get away with checking in on your plants once a day. When the plants are seedlings or early vegetation stage, they don't need much. So a check-in may be less than 5 minutes. When you get into late veg and flowering, things such as plant training and pruning can take up time depending on how many plants and how big of plants you're growing. I sometimes spend over an hour in my garden each day doing things like feeding, pruning, training, etc.
