I recently bought a TaoTronics humidifier and I’m it says that my RH is at 90% while my AC Infinity says that it is at 47%. Would it be better to continue using the set meter or use the timer?
That's a massive difference between the two. Does it feel like its 90% or 47%? Do you have the taotronics model that the sensor is on the power cord or on the unit? If the humidifier is on the floor of a grow tent and there is water on the floor then that could also throw things off.
Are you in a tent? I grow in rooms and my humidifier is always higher to what the meter says by the plants. The moisture will be higher around the humidifier, a lot of the water molecules just drop as they come out. Also check settings on both, some equipment can read RH or AH and they are different.
