My question is.....
Does anyone know or have experienced powdery film anywhere your humidifier has exposed itself to? Tent, vented space outside your tent? Lungroom?
Reason for the question....
I have been filling it with water from a spigot that has been treated by salt based water softener and I dont know or feel maybe this is residue from the humidifier.
Thoughts?

It's calcium. Spigot water usually isn't inline with a softening system because it's wasteful. If not that then it's salt.
