Well that was actually my thinking on it - that if I select shortish indicas and jam around 20 in 3 gallon pots (have mix of 3g & 5g now) and maybe bend or chop off anything growing too vertical. Also flipping them into flower from seedling is apparently feasible.
That said my tent is clearly less stable set up on its side and I don't want to have a harvest crushing collapse on my hands. I reckon I'm wiser using it as the manufacturer intended and pony up the dough for another tent.
It would be interesting to hear from someone who has grown in a 4f tent or cabinet to hear if they think it is worth doing or too problematic.
You will also need to leave some space between the top of the light and the tent. If your light has fans, probably more space. It is doable but you will end up with really short plants. So what you are looking at is: Pot height + Plant height + space below light + LED light + space above light.
It all depends on your plants if they only get 2-3 ft then your good a little in my opinion but doable if your plants are anything over 3 the light will be way too close.
Probably not unless you're doing a micro grow
What about trying smaller pots?? Idk what size your using currently but they have that sea of green method using more smaller pots
I think I will err on the side of caution and revert back to its intended build. Hopefully I can pick up an extra tent on the cheap somewhere.
