That is very debatable. It depends on what your using for feedings. If your running salts (synthetics) then you probably will benefit from a flush. if you are doing true organics there wouldn't be much benefit.
Remember light stresses will increase terps on any plants.
the best way I've ever heard it put was "You want a pissed off plant. A healthy plant but pissed off" Terps are a stress response. They also make up the effect it will have on you. That part is "the" balancing act.
