I asked the same question of dan over at electric sky . my first time using a dimmable light . i was asking about seedlings, he said its advised to keep the light at full power & raise it in order to keep full spectrum if you can , so as long as you have the height available i would think raise it

Better for your plant, full power proper distance. Better for your electricity bill, dimmed. lol
