Need advice from you guys. I have one plant in particular thats not growing correctly. Im using kellogs organics soil, fox farms growbig, plant food, its under a bloomspect 600 and in veg for 2 weeks now. I have other plants in there thats starting the droopyness at the bottom. These are seeds out of the bag. I have been ph-ing my water to around 5.5. Can you guys help? Its my first grow and im just starting to get worried. Thanks! Taco420.
Hey good morning good afternoon guys. I watered the other plants this morning as they needed theyre pot was dry down whole half finger and even then. I tested my water at 6.0 and it came out runoff around 7? I dont get it ? Maybe its the soil im using which is Kelloggs Organic soil. Heres the results thanks Mr.G and everybody!
Leaf tips are clawing. Do a slurry test to check the ph and ppm in the soil. Go down about 2” near the edge of the pot so you don’t damage the roots and take a couple tablespoons of soil, then mix with an equal part of distilled water. Mix it up real good to create a slurry and let it sit for a few minutes then test.
I just re-read your first post and noticed you are adjusting the pH down to 5.5. When growing in soil, staying in the range of 6.0-7.0 will be best. Many growers consider 6.5 the sweet spot. You also stated you are feeding nutes twice a week. They should only need nutrients once a week - water, feed, water, feed. What is the PPM of your soil runoff?
Fox farm is what they refer to as "hot" soil.meaning it is packed with nutrients straight from the bag. You might wanna wait till like week 3 or 4 of veg before adding any extra nutes. Imo i would water only till then.
Looks like overwatering. How often do you water and what do you use to determine that the plant needs water?
