Just fed my girls two days ago and the run off was between 1300-1500 ppm. I was going to do 100% distilled water for their next watering but some of the leaves are showing nutrient deficiencies (calcium)...should I just do 100% distilled water to lower the ppms or should I add CalMag to the water for the next feeding?
FYI I am in week 4 of flowering.
I add 5 ml per gallon each time I water especially since I use distilled water. I’ll take pics in normal light today.
I am watering tonight. Would you go water with CalMag at about 7.2-7.5 pH and see what the runoff is afterwards? Or would you also add PK nutrients as well?
You're pH of 5.7-5.9 is a bit low for growing in soil. I persoanlly like to be in the 6.0-7.0 range with 6.5 being the sweet spot. That may be why you're seeing deficiencies. Your PPM range of 1300-1500 is good for the stage of growth you're in. Do you feel CalMag every watering? If so, what dose? Often times the amount of calcium/magnesium isn't enough in 2 and 3-part nutrient lineups so a CalMag supplement on top of them is needed. The pictures you took make the plant look yellow since you're using an HPS light; we can't see the true color of the leaves. If you can take pictures in normal lighting then we may be able to give further input.
The damaged leaves will not get better but they wouldn’t get worse
If they start to curl up in the next day or two I’d move your light up
iPower 600 Watt HPS MH and 19 in from the highest point and 23 in on the other areas
Switching to the MARS HYDRO TS 3000W LED when it comes on Tuesday.
I wouldn’t think it’s pk maybe cal-mag but it also be the start of light burn
What light do you use and how close is it?
How old is the plant? What deficiencies is it showing?
Soil. Fox Farm nutrients...their complete line up.
And what are you using to grow in?
Pics would help also what’s your runoff ph
