Hypothetically speaking, if one were to say, use 3 times the needed amount of dry amendments when top dressing a coco based medium, what would happen? I got really high and calculated that for my 5 10gal pots I would need 3.125 cups of dry amendments total, but I gave that to each pot....lol.
Now I know it's not going to harm the plants, but what happens to it in the medium? Should I still top dress (with the correct amount) in a month? Do unused nutrients go bad over time when just left in the medium and not taken up by the plants?
They are about 3-1/2 months old from seed. Was planning on flipping to flower in a week, so they got a triple dose of PK.
I just can't believe I did that.

I'd check the PPM of the runoff to get an idea if a feeding is needed or not. Most likely not if you top dressed that much. How are the plants looking now?
I've been there!! I continued to amend and tried to keep an eye on VPD and made to flower without issue. Good luck!
