Today is the beginning of week 8 of flower for this Moby Dick. Here is a shot of the trichromes. Thinking of beginning flush now, or when I see the first amber heads.
The trichomes look nice and milky but it looks like a lot of the pistils are still sticking out. I usually wait until the pistils are more pulled into the buds to start the flush.
Every strain is different and if you are seeing mostly cloudy trichomes right on the buds then maybe you should flush now.
Regardless of when you flush, harvest based on how the trichomes look.
She looks close to harvest so yep, looks like it's time to flush. Do you have any not-so-close shots of the buds? I like to see what the big picture looks like too when deciding if it's flush time.
Nice pictures! Next time some one asks me what I mean by milky or cloudy trichomes, I will send them here. 😁
@Angrybird Growing they are looking healthy but also look super green. I take my plants out on the porch and give them a 5 gallon flush. This helps to “rinse” any excess nutrients from my medium and it helps the plant use what it has stored onboard. I just chopped a Sour Diesel clone last night after using this method followed by daily icing to help signal that the days are becoming more fall like 🌱🪴🤙🏻
@TnA.Homegrown I agree on the dark green. I've been feeding Advanced Nutriets Micro, Grow, Bloom, and B-52, Nirvana, Bud Candy, Big Bud, and Overdrive all at the recommended time intervals, but at 1/4 the recommended dosage.
@TnA.Homegrown Thank you for the help along the way. You, Cap Stone, and Mr. Grow It have gotten me thru to this point. For my first grow I am absolutely thrilled at this point. Hopefully I get the dry and cure just right after the chop.

Beautiful looking buds!
Just realized I have been misspelling Trichomes as Trichromes.... I feel kinda dumb now... Carry on lol
