New indoor tent grower here, found the site from the YouTube channel. 4x4 tent with mars hydro tsw2000 light. Just germinated 6 different strains and put them in 6" pots in fox farms ocean forest soil tonight. I have a "super soil" mix cooking in a tote right now, on day 18. Will be transplanting the 6 plants into 5 gallon pots filled half way with the super soil and topped with fox farms ocean forest mix. Anyone else ever use this method and have any advice? Have thought about using fox farms big bloom during flower, but not sure it would need it with the super soil mix. Thanks for any advice and look forward to browsing through the site and gathering info. Love the videos as well, great info.

My guess was way way low. Impressive haul, you should be well chuffed. White widow is such a beautiful looking strain.
Congrats on your harvest! Great job
We made some green butter this weekend with the trim... collected a little kief too.... 🔥🔥🔥 8 grams of beautiful kief...
Congrats! That looks amazing!
Back to the Future 2
White
Been meaning to make a post since drying and starting to burn these trees down!!! Got a solid yield for our first grow. Really happy with the results.
Double Black- 69 grams.
Royal Purple Kush- 72 grams
Girl Scout Cookie- 88 grams
Back to the Future 2- 95 grams
White widow- 106 grams!!! Gnarly, fat, dense nugs off this plant.
Total of 430 grams- 15.25 Oz.
Would also appreciate if you identified which strain was which in pictures, always cool growing a variation.
Middle of week 8. Getting closer. We have some cloudy trichomes but still mostly clear. So stoked on how these turned out for our first grow. Learned quite a bit and have a good idea on how to improve our next one. Thank you to everyone that shared your knowledge and Mr Grow it for all the great videos and articles.
Nice man!!
They are GREEN and happy looking plants! Happy for you making it to the end-
Been a while since I've updated. Getting close to harvest time. Another couple weeks to go. They are all looking and doing great. Nice trichome production and nice dense buds. Really happy with this first grow. Have fed water only this entire grow.
Got the timer back on tonight. They are yellowing a little on the tops but look pretty good I think. We'll see how it goes in the next couple days.
EDIT: The obvious best answer here is this model of the same company from Mr. Grow It's Equipment list- :)

I think you are good. get them back on regular schedule ASAP- and yeah...timers.... I have 1 of these...and really like it. dual plug but you can program them independently...didn't know how handy that was...the extra fan on top of the light? only needs to be on with the light- or, add that sexy supplemental UV or some other specialty light but it does not need to run on the same schedule as your regular light...or an extra fan that is not an oscillating fan, but you can program it to be on and off intermittently and not damage plants....point is, it provides options. Which is nice.
...my 2 cents.
Did some trimming and defoliation today. Day 10 of flower. Hoping to get some nice flowers going...
Well if you expect the plants to double in size then you'll just about fill up the grow space - if not entirely. So flipping now may be best. Do you actually mean 6pm-12pm for 18 hours? I persoanlly run that for Veg, then when I'm ready to flip, the lights go off at 12pm and then come back on 36 hours later for a 12/12 light cycle - 6pm-6am.
Going to be a full tent I use a 4×4 as well i grew 6 the first time and it was extremely cramped to work with them i cut back to 4 in mine way easier to train them and water ect happy growing my friend
Day 56.... thinking of flipping them to flower this weekend. Any input? Should I wait a little longer? Week or possibly 2? These been in veg for 8 weeks now.
When I do flip to flower, what is everyone's method? I have the lights running 6am-12pm for veg. Does it matter which setting I change? Can I switch them to 9am-9pm or should I keep one time the same and change one? I work early to late evening and would like to be able to have lights on while I'm home if possible, hence wanting to change to 9am-9pm.
Coming along good!
Day 49.. got the scrog net up. The white Widow is branching nicely....
Day 46 update... about ready to install the scrog net this weekend. Started to ph the water to 6.3 and adding cal mag to every watering.
I based mine on the math of the height I have available in my tent-
My light needs 12" from canopy so I aimed to flip when canopy got to 1/3 of available height for plant to still be at 12" under highest I could put light-
Make sense?
That is maximum parameter though. Some will veg a month and flip to keep them small and run more in the space.

Which is what i am doing next round- I have 2 in 10's in a 2 X 4 at moment and want to try the smaller approach next time-
What do you guys run for a typical veg cycle? I'm thinking another 2 weeks before I flip to flower... maybe get the scrog net up next week. How long after you install scrog until going to flower? Any input is greatly appreciated.
Day 40. The white Widow is really performing nicely. Great structure so far. The other 4 are bushing out nicely. Done some light LST on the lower branches. Really happy with the progress so far. Still only feeding tap water.
Day 36... did a little more LST today. Really happy with the progress so far. Feeding only water since day 1 in the supersoil mix. How long you guys typically veg for? 8‐10 weeks? Ordered some post mount fans because those clip ons are a pain in the ass and always falling or moving.
Looking good so far. I hope the LST has worked well for you
Those ladies are lookin good. Like I was telling one other person. If those pots dry out too quick from the sides. You can use pallet wrap or cling wrap from the kitchen to go around the outside and it will make a Yuge difference. Also. I have found out that running like outs and peas for a cover crop means I water way less than I was.
If you don't want to run a cover crop you should at least have a mulch on that soil surface!!! Straw, mushroom compost, something. . .
Good lookin'
Did our first round of LST and topped the White Widow in the back left corner. Lots of undergrowth ready to take off and make more tops. The Purple Kush and Back to the Future are really impressive so far. Couple more weeks of veg left.
Day 24... going to top the WW in back left and start LST on the other 4 in a couple days.... very happy with the results so far...
If you tap water is only reading around 140 , you should be good. Let it sit for awhile to eliminate chlorine, or I've also heard that if you submerge your arm in your bucket for some time, your body will absorb the chlorine as well, (supposedly). I've never done that myself but I have read that.
Nice job!
Looks like you're well on your way to some healthy ladies.
Just by moving the plants to the bigger pots has raised the RH to 60%. Running the fan intermittently through the day to cycle new air in and old air out. Have been watering with distilled water from the start. Have now switched to tap water which is about 7.4ph and 120ppm. Hoping to not have to setup an RO system and just use tap water. Everything seems to be going well...
Nice job so far. They are looking good
Completed my first transplant. Roots looked great, nice white color and just got to the bottom of the solo cup. Sprinkled mycrorriza on the roots during transplant. Filled my 5 gallon pots halfway with my super soil mixture and topped with FF OF. I'm hopeful that they will begin to take off now they are in their final home and we'll start some LST and possibly topping in the next couple weeks. This is day 19 since they sprouted. Raised the light to about 24" above top of plants and cranked the dimmer to 60%.
We got one leaner out of the 5. Going to transplant when I get home on Tuesday. Should I do some LST on the leane when I transplant them or let it keep going up?
Nice job so far. Be careful when you transplant those as they are very young and most likely don't have a root zone to hold the soil together when you remove them form the cups.
I dont know about the "flower when tap root hits something" philosophy, only because if you think about them being in the wild, when would the root hit something? Just something to think about.
The back 2 stretched up a bit today. The other 3 look great. Lowered the light a little more and increased the dimmer to about 45%. Thinking of transplanting this Sunday morning. I'll be going on vacation for a week and won't be able to do it for another 10 days or so. You think it's too early to move them to 5 gallon buckets?
So have your stuff ready if they may need a boost here and there. The tough part like greg said was that they will all grow in different ways. I had what I thought was three strains in my tent for my first grow. Then I found out I had four. and the only one I had two of grew like different plants. One scrogged, and one regualr. I had three sativa heavy and two indicas. This makes keeping an even canopy next to impossible! Add to that two scrogg nets (which for those who don't know, only serve to get in your way as your grow goes on).
Now I have ONE auto going(one didn't leave the soil :( ).
They all grew at different rates and I got to learn what was flower structure/VS. stretch that never fills in. You will learn a lot.
Don't worry if you screw up a few things, "The Best lessons learned are those Hardest learned".
That is very true. The more you screw up, the faster you learn. It could be costly though . . .lol
For this being your first run , so far so good. Be careful running so many different strains at once because you will find that you mix up 1 batch of water/food whenever you feed them, but they may not all like the same amount, temp, frequency. So just make sure to watch because what one strain may like, another may not be to hip to. Hope this helps. Good Growing
They look great. You will NEED to get your RH up. If possible, 60%. If it stays too low, the plant won't breathe well and your growth will be stunted. FYI you can't compensate by keeping the soil wetter.
Day 4. Everything looks to be going well. I changed my exhaust fan to only run intermittently for 30 minutes at a time 6 times a day rather than all day. Seemed excessive. Anyone else do this or just run out all day?
Temps gave ranged from 70-79 and high of 36% humidity. I live in a dry climate and may need a humidifier.
Got 5 of my 6 seeds sprouted.
White Widow- G13 Labs
Girl Scout Cookie by Black Skull
Royal Purple Kush- Emerald Triangle
Back to the Future 2- Tastebudz
Double Black- G13 Labs
The only one that hasn't sprouted is the Critical Sour Diesel from Emerald Triangle.
I have re-used my soil for 9 runs now. Here is some advice, everything you said you amended ie. Bone meal, kelp meal etc. All sounds right except. 1.) I would suggest not using blood meal. I started with it as well but it is way to high in nitrogen and with the other stuff you have, you will find you dont need it. 2.) It is the same thing with the bat guano except bat guano is not really a sustainable source, so I try to stay away from it as well. You can replace those though. Use these ingredients,1) a quality worm casting. Worm castings are the most important ingredient when re amending. 2.) Insect frass, either from black soldier flies, or there is a new frass made from meal worms. I haven't tried it but heard good things from Tad at K.I.S. Organics. 3) A good kelp meal. I will feed mine with fish hydrolysate during growth. It has to be hydrolysate though, not fish fertilizer or ground fish. Its the way its processed. Hope this helps. Good Growing!
If living soil, the best thing you can do is figure out how to build your native soil up, as it is the stuff you can most easily afford. Plus if you are going the living soils route, you need to learn how to work with depleted soils and how to bring them back to life.
If a Super Soil, then that is usually a soil filled with almost all the nutes for at least the first (veg) stage of growth. "Super Soil" is a term that is used loosely on many forums so ya gotta be clear.
Either way we are here to help you learn from OUR mistakes and help you make some of your own . . !!
Sounds like you've taken time to think and plan. My only question is when you say super soil, do you mean like a living soil. The reason I ask is usually creating a super soil most wouldnt mix it with another, and many wouldn't use liquid fertilizer with it. I only ask because I wouldn't want to see your hard work burn a plant over fertilizing. Maybe I've over thought, just adding to the conversation.
Hello and welcome. I have used a similar method before and had success with it. What type of “super soil” have you got working? Sounds like you have got a pretty good plan, in my opinion 🌱🪴🤙🏼
