newb intake questions
Hello friends. I am brand new to this, and have not completed my setup. So far I've collected all of Mr. Grow It's recos for a small grow tent (2x4 cool grows tent, spider farmer LED light, AC Infinity 205 CFM, iPower filter, etc.) Everything will be in a closed closet, so I probably need to add some active intake with a fan that that sucks in air from outside the closet and enters the bottom of the tent through 4inch (or greater if recommended) duct work. Does anyone have intake fan suggestions? Should it include a small filter? Would a second AC Infinity 205 CFM be appropriate? Sorry for such a newb question! Thanks for any thoughts folks have time to give. Be well, everyone.
I would start with just an exhaust fan and passive intake and see how things go from there. You may find out thats all you need, therefore you aren't a solution looking for a problem.
Have you considered just doing a passive intake?
I mean have a fan on your intake side. Most of us have exhaust fans that vent out the top. Some people have fans blowing in as well at the bottom, or they just leave the bottom vents (that most tents have) open. I have a 5x5 tent that is set up in a spare bedroom or "lungroom". Unfortunately it can get to hot in the room so i have a fan and hose bringing in cool air from outside. Hope this helps, Good Growing!
A/C Infinity Raxial Inline fan series...4" is pretty weak but the 6" will do the trick
You may find that just the open vents on the bottom of your tent are all you need for intake. If you do decide to run ventilation in, I have a intake for mine and I just put a pantyhose on the end for a filter. Cheap, easy, and mine has been on there for 3 years.
