I took a few months off from growing but now I'm back at it. I had a little CalMag problem to start but the girls look great. Now I'm into the flowering stage.
My first question:
Should I adjust the Ph of the solution after I add all of the nutrients or adjust the water before? I ask because the Ph of my tap water is around 8.1-8.4. During normal watering I adjust it to proper range. When I add the Fox Farm Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom it knocks the Ph down to the correct range or below it.
Next question:
I can not get my girls PPM to 750-950 as recommended in the book. I am heavy feeding the girls constantly to get the PPM up but it doesn't budge. I'm stuck around 200-350. Should I keep feeding them the Grow Big during the flower phase to get it up? The girls look great. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
1) Unless you are using a silica product you ph after. Sometimes mixing silica in high ph water causes the formation of insoluble compounds rendering the silica useless.
2) 750 to 950 ppm is what you should be putting in. The ppm of your runoff should be considerably less because the plants have absorbed those nutrients.
