So Im growing autos in Fox Farms Ocean soil. I have a soil Ph meter in each planter. That meter reads around 6.5 for soil Ph after todays feed. Today is week 5 and I gave a small nut feed 1/4 dose and the run off is 5-7-5.9 ph. So am I ok or need to flush? confused.........................The plants looks good...BTW this is my first grow!

i found personally that if i keep my PH from 5.8 to 6.5 -- this seems to be the best range for them to grow, for 2 grows i did not have and PH solution and still had good turn outs but things were very slow - from a basic standard of 16 to 18 weeks now jumped up to 26 to about 30 weeks.
nor did i even have any kind of a flush solution so i used Molasses for the flush as it was about the best thing i could use until i got my actual flush product, ( the water here is about 7.3 to 7.5 on the PH so i will add depending on what week on nutrients 2 teaspoons of PH up then add the three main Fox Farm Nutrients = Big Bloom - Grow Big - and Tiger Bloom this will now bring my PH to about 6.1 to about 6.4 .
try taking readings of just the tap water - then with one nutrient to see what range is now then do same for the other nutrients as you add them to the feeding cycle - this will help on UP or DOWN with your PH - but most likely you will have to add PH UP to get to your range.
with a reading of 7.3 on tap water then add the nutrients ( all three ) this will bring down to about a 4.4 reading -- this is how i ran out on the small 8 oz bottle of PH UP so fast when i thought there would not be that much change in the balance - was i wrong, but i did learn something new about keeping a a good balance range from 5.8 to 6.5
wish you the best Growers Luv and Peace
Are you using one of those pH meters that you stick into the soil or one of those handheld ones with a probe? Also, do you know what the pH was of the nutrient mix prior to giving it to your plant?
