I have a 6" vivosun carbon filter that I use when my room is in flower and is going 3 years strong. I know its working because if its not in line and running there is a very beautiful aroma of pine, skunky gassiness with citrus tones that fill my entire home 😁 .
How long should a 6 inch carbon filter last? I have two grows on this one and just ordered a new one but quite frankly I don't really know when I should change it out
Impossible to give you an answer. Think of a carbon filter as a sponge. Once it's full, it will re-release back into the air. If you're growing a few plants then you won't have to change your carbon filter as often as someone who has a entire room full of plants.
