hi all! šš» Hope all is well.
Still in the research stage While I wait for PA to let me start growing.
Iām going to have to build a room in my basement for my indoor garden. Will need heat and dehumidifier. Thinking a 10x10 or 12x12 room. A 5x5 on the right wall. A drying closet and curing shelf on the left wall. A work table in the middle. Room for tools and supplies? should I exhaust/carbon filter the dry tent as well? Anybody willing to share a pic of their room layout?
Exciting! Sounds like you have a great space to work with. So you will potentially use a 5x5 tent for Veg and then flip all plants to flower at the same time right? I recommend 4-6 plants in that size tent. So 4 larger plants or 6 smaller plants. Smaller plants will allow you to veg for a shorter period of time since your grow space fills up faster. The downside is you have a few more plants to maintain. I personally don't exhaust/filter my drying tent but I don't need to hide the smell. If you need to hide the smell then a yes a carbon filter will be fine. You don't really need much air exchange though - mostly air circulation. Here is an old ass video I made for beginners which explains controlling environment in a grow tent:
Also, here is a more recent video of my grow setup:
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions. I'm usually on this forum more often so sorry it took 3 days for you to get this response lol
