I’m a 1st time grower the largest tree is chocolope and the other three are clones of an unknown strain.all in are in veg state.im a bit nervous don’t want to mess up my plants will send the after photos soon thanks much. which ones are the ‘fan leaves’....sorry newbie....
Check out the videos from Remo and Mr. Growit. I personally defoliate at week 1 of flower, and somewhere mid flower as well to open up the canopy for light and airflow. I also prune and lollipop all through the later veg stages.

Lollipop them for sure so energy is focused on the tops

Yes. You have a lot of fan leaves blocking prime bud sites
