First time grower here, thanks in advance for any incite. I have started using boiling water to sterilize soil (kill fungus gnats) before use and usually I allow the water to evaporate. This time I am on a time constraint and am draining the majority of the water, so out of curiosity I tested the runoff and it has an EC of 4.4. Can I incorporate this nutrient rich runoff in the tea I'm brewing? This is a small amount of (Happy Frog) soil that will be used to fill out the top 1-1/2" of a 5 gallon pot. There is about 6oz. of runoff. I want to ask generically but in my specific situation this will be for a plant in week 4 of flower and the tea is just BS molasses, worm castings, 1tbs Earth Dust Boost, and 1tbs G.G. 2-8-4 PB. Plan to add recharge right before watering in. My state is legal now but I'm still too shy for pictures.
Edit: Earth Dust Boost***
Thank you!
Kind of impossible for us to give you a clear "yes it will" work or "no it won't work." ... If you want a more accurate answer, getting both the soil tested and the runoff solution tested then looking at the results of both will give you a better answer. Too much of some nutrients will lock out others so getting things tested will help prevent problems from occurring in the future.
