I was having a hell of a time with coco and ended up losing 4 plants. These 2 Chocolope survived so far. I switched to Sunshine mix 4 soil and transplanted 4 days ago. The sprout is starting to grow new green and the other is trying to fight. Most of the damage is from me failing with coco itself, and it definitely got stressed being thrown into a new medium. I rinsed the roots before transplanting and gave it a very weak nute feeding for the roots with Remo Nutrients. The older leaves are toast but it looks like the newer ones are starting to recover from the shock. There isn't any new growth yet but unlike the coco, the soil was dry enough for me to feed her. The coco stunted the roots and she showed major signs of overwatering since the roots weren't established. The coco error is totally on me but I'm back up and running with some clones and the 2 Chocolope I transplanted. I'm using a 4 panel T5 LED in a 4x4x8 tent and Remo Nutrients.

Woke up early to trim and found most of the crop was covered in spider mites. Salvaged apx 2oz and starting the cure. I'll be taking preventative measures before these germinating seeds go into soil.
Congrats!!
Came home last night to at least 80% cloudy trichomes. That happened fast! Harvest day 😀
Week 8. Started flushing 3 days ago when the trichomes began turning cloudy. They are all pretty much at the same maturity and should finish really close to the same time.
The names made it easier for watering instructions for the wife.
New profile since I left FB and can't login otherwise.
Starting week 7 and noticing some great bud structure. The trichomes are between clear and just starting to get cloudy on some. I may start my flush a little earlier than expected on a couple of the girls. We'll see how the week progresses and continue tp monitor. I'm pretty happy so far with this being a first attempt. This should be a fun week of observation 😀
They look great to me. Some phenos don't really fatten up until weeks 6-8 - it's really hard to say.
Week 6 of flower. Everything is normal. The one Chocolope may recover from whatever that is. I fed a decent CalMag and have been monitoring. The buds aren't as large as I was hoping by this stage, but we'll see how this week progresses. I've mostly been leaving them alone and watering/feeding as needed.
Your plants look really good! I wouldn't do a flush just yet; I answered your question on the other post.
Starting week 5 of flower. Having an issue with the smaller Chocolope which is posted as a question in this forum as of yesterday . Probably going to do a flush on it and the larger Chocolope since she's also showing similar signs. The Gelatos and the Critical Orange Punch are all looking great. the leaves are getting frosty and the buds are starting to form with the crazy white hairs. I have to do some more staking , but I think next time I'll try a small scrog. It's getting difficult to work in there. Overall I'm pretty impressed. Couldn't get the camera to focus much during the video.
Tomorrow I'll be doing some minor defoliation as well as a couple bamboo cages to control these girls. The 2nd Chocolope that i thought was stunted, has shot up while I was away this week. I chopped a Gelato that would not get rid of the thrips or mites. She was the only one that had issues and the infestation was getting bad. I think it was the right call, especially seeing how they're doing with a little more space. I kind of wish I did some scrogging earlier on, but next round I will. Being my first grow, I am seeing what to do next time as well as changing the layout a little to maximize space.
@Mr. Grow It I will be leaving for 2-4 days at a time next week for 2 weeks. That will put these ladies at week 3-4 of flower. Have you had any success setting up a DIY water system? I don't have anyone I trust to look after them, and I've cut my days away down just to come home and do some TLC. There's a lot online, but I can tell a bunch of those are not reliable.
They all look really good. Nice job
Started week 1 of flower. Did 24 hours of darkness before switching over so I could run the lights at night. The Chocolope got too big and a 2 of the gelato are stunted. Flipped them anyway to save space and going to see what they can produce. 3x Gelato. 1x Critical Orange Plus. 2x Chocolope. Vegged for 6 weeks (main chocolope for 8) with the Remo Nutrients and started using Natures Candy around week 5. They've had one feeding on the new rotation and swapped the white veg LEDs for the Bloom on the Sunblaze T5 LED panel. Sometimes I just go in there and listen to music and sit with them. I'm in love.
Edit: the spots are from a foliar spray I used for Thrips or Mites which I treat twice per week
That's a very happy tent of plants you got there!
wow super healthy . good job bro
I may veg for 1 more week. It depends how much larger that chocolope gets by this weekend. She's the one I transplanted from coco to Sunshine Mix 4. The Chocolope is taking over big time.
Coming up to the 3 week point after transplanting. The Chocolope has exploded. Sitting just under 14" from the 7.5" last update and I have no doubt she will flower well. Technically she's at week 5 of veg coming up, but I'm going to do 1 to 2 more weeks because of the stress I caused with all of this. I'm counting medium tranplant day 1 of veg. I'll have to see how much she stretches this next week. I did some defoliation at the bottom. I didn't put enough dirt in and the lower leaves weren't getting the light they needed. LST done on one large branch to open up part of an up and comer just below. I couldn't ask for a better recovery.
Massive difference there. This is a great example of how beneficial mixing organic with synthetic can be! That "very weak" feeding of synthetic nutrients on top of your Sunshine Mix #4 organically-amended soil gave you explosive growth in that that short, 2-week period. Nice job.
How weak have the doses been?
What size pot is that purple container?
