Both Alaskan Purple are 3 weeks 3 days old. Transplanted at 3 weeks. Both now starting to show 5th node. They are in ffof with ph 6.2 and ppm 475. Do I top them soon and transplant in another 2 weeks?
Thanks. I will do that next time. I wanted to avoid feeding them nutes as long as possible. I didn't expect one to grow so fast. I was questioning the 1 gallon pot afterwards. Not sure how well I can lst in a 1 gallon pot. Now just need info about when should start topping, and; when would be a good time to put them in a 3 gallon pot.
I did the same thing for the same reason. I am on Day 1 of Week 3 and just transplanted to a 1 gallon. FFOF soil also. How are they looking? Did you top them? I think @Mr. Grow It book suggests transplanting from small to 1 to 3 gallon pot. After transplanting I wondered if topping then transplanting into 3 gallon two weeks later would be to much stress? Also, does that mean we can't LST until they reach their 3 gallon? New grower here too lol
Maybe hold off on topping or transplanting again since you just moved them. If I were you instead of going from solo cup, to 1 gallon,to 3.... just go from solo cup to final pot. Theres no need to move them so much.
They are photoperiod feminized seeds. Transplanted from plastic cup into gallon fabric pot about 4 days ago when they had 2 nodes. One grew 6 inches and the other only 2 inches in that time. So, top soon and wait to transplant again? I still have 3 gallon pots I planned to transplant in before flowering.
It looks ready to top, to me. I'm not sure about all the transplanting though. They autos or photos? The best rule of thumb is to transplant as little as possible, if at all.
They look ready to top at this point. That should definitely help get some side branches
