I recently watched a few vivosun review videos and overall was impressed with them. So I went ahead and bought their 4x4 complete kit. I also bought a second VS4000 to go in the tent. Do you think this will be overkill with light power ?

I think it would do well in a 4x4. Probably just want to dim it down a bit - especially when the plants are seedlings and in Veg.
