I like feminized photoperiod more than autoflowers. There are a few reasons:
If i come across a deficiency while the plant is in the vegetation stage then I can fix the problem before flipping the plant to flower - without any impact to yield. Unfortunately with autoflowers, any stunt in growth while in the vegetation stage will negatively impact yield. For beginner growers who care about yield, it's safer to start with photoperiods.
The light schedule is reduced to 11 or 12 hours on while flowering photoperiods, whereas the light should be on 18+ hours when flowering autoflowers. So when talking about energy consumption, your electricity bill will be less if you grow photoperiods.
Happy 4/20!
