I do it weekly just because I'm paranoid about root rot. Right now those plants are drinking at least a litre of water a day. I top off the reservoir every morning or every other morning depending on the level with un-ph'd RO that I add Botanicare Hydroguard too. Then Friday morning she gets swapped for a fresh bucket of nutes.

It will be fun. A couple tips I learned the hard way my first grow. PH your reservoir daily. Twice a day is better even. Keep the water cool. I use frozen 1 liter water bottles that I change out daily. Gotta keep the water temp under 70°F or you will get root rot, no matter how many beneficial root zone nutrients you use...

I'd love to do RDWC but my equipment and room would need to be upgraded. My R/O system doesn't have enough output. I get 1 gallon of water in about 4 minutes and 30 seconds depending on outside temp. This time of year it takes over 5 minutes. I spend alot of time friday mornings swapping out and cleaning my buckets...So 25 gallons would take all day, not to mention it would generate 75 gallons of wastewater every week, draining would be an issue at the moment as well. I want to try organics as well, but my next project is a pheno hunt. I have some great genetics. Pinakoolato 2.0 by Infinity. My brother picked it up when he was at Bloom dispensary in AZ. I had 4 seeds drop from a 3.5g jar. Popped 2 of the seeds my first grow. One male, and the other produced an amazing female plant that I wish I cloned, best flavor ever for me. I will always be so fond of that plant, I need to catch lightning in a bottle again. Also I picked up Humboldt Pound Cake seeds by Humboldt Seed Co. when I went to UrbnLeaf in San Diego.

I am really curious to see the difference these clones have from their mother I grew in soil... Speaking of that I need to trim. That's been hanging 15 days now at 60°F and 62% RH. She's ready I am being lazy. Back to topic, the growth rate is amazing. If you're on top of everything it's amazing...I believe I can do better. I dont like the color of my root ball. I need an airstone to make more bubbles. The inlet on those root spa buckets is fine when the plants are smaller, later in the grow I can tell they seem oxygen starved. Not slimey yet, but slightly brown in color. I still have white fishbones growing in the healthy parts. So adequate ? Maybe. Optimal? No.

I've had this happen growing in Hydro. I suspect that you have your nutrients and everything dialed in just right and she is producing flowers hard-core because of it.

I would test my run off water.

Definitely test the ph and ppm of your medium. Also what kind of water are you using ? Tap, R/O, rainwater ? The tips of your plant look ok, so I'm leaning toward a magnesium deficiency and possibly your light is a little too close and cooking the plants. Gets us the ph and ppm of your medium and we can help out further.

They will thicken/ wood up into week 3 and 4. After that they get too stiff to really train. I should know. I just snapped a stalk today on Day 35 trying to bend it.

Those stalks should thicken up some. If they start to flop over once you get some heavy buds on them, then get a gardening stake and some wire. Just wire the stalks that lay down to the stake so they are upright again and you'll be fine.

I would go in again in about 7 to 10 days and take out all the larger fan leaves, anything with a stem that's easy to get at.
