First off, thanks Mr. grow it and the people keeping this going. I am on my last 2 weeks of my first soil grow using GH nutrients on half the block and using organic soil on the other half. PPM coming out is 800 on the GH with flood to drain and no PPM read on the organic of course. Sitting pretty but also very green on the GH side. Like evergreen.
I want to preface my question by stating I believe that a good fade is the first step to a good cure, clean burn. Stab away I can take it. In hydro it is so much easier to just exchange the feed to clean the last few days but as a new soil grower there is so much contrasting information on the last 2 weeks of bloom. These are the things I have heard; From the local grow shop “ Just use the flora Kleen Every water event and flush through 7.0+ PH or higher...forget about your ppm. High ph will just lock out the nitrogen” From the usual Suspects Royal Queen, etc;” Flush ph balanced till 50ppm in one event. Use a Kleener if you have excess salts. Continue to use plain water till finish.” My thoughts based on reading and experience. Please check me. “ Flora Kleen is practical with the GH line. I’ve used it before in Hydro. Some slightly warmer water and a flush and presto we are fall colours. I dont feel getting to 50ppm with 5 gallons in soil is possible. The idea of volume flush to me seems weird but I have quasi accepted it only Because I do think salts ruin the party. I plan to flush with PH Balanced water and a Kleener on the GH side and begin ignoring PPM altogether. My worry is how green this GH side is. TL\DR I begin my last two weeks of flower tomorrow as a new soil grower running half block organic and half block GH nutrients. There is an ark load of information out there please tell me wtf to do on the GH General Hydroponic side of my room For the cleanest Taste.
