I transplanted my 4-6 inch clones into 3 gallon pots. How much water do you water clones that size and how often?

In the scenario you explain, I typically use 1/4 to 1/2 gallon of water just like @mwhite9829 does. As the plant grows, it will obviously need more water than that.
