Hi All,
Thank you in advance for your contributions to my questions. As the title implies, I am a complete beginner looking for insight around the entire process. Since I'm in southern CA my plan is to buy clones instead of starting from seeds. Will be growing in a room rather than in a closet. Picture of the room is listed below for better idea of the area I'm working with.

Questions I'm wondering -
How should I set up my airflow? There's a window in the room so my plan is to send outflow through the window and have inflow come from the room. Not interested in sending outflow into my attic.
What should I do about watering? I've found only so much on this topic. I'm fine with investing into a reverse osmosis system but not positive on how I should do the actual watering? For example, would I store the treated water in a tub and then just spray the plants with the treated water from a handheld sprayer? I'd think there's hydroponic systems that can automatically water the plants but that's probably not recommended for a beginner due to costs and lack of experience with maintaining correct levels in the soil. Still wrapping my head around draining, nutrients and proper feeding.
If I'm buying clones, should I just immediately transfer them to a 5 gallon fabric pot or go with a small size pot for a period of time before the larger 5 gallon pot?
Females - I'd assume if I'm buying clones they will all be females or is that still not known till a little longer into vegetation? Anything wrong with just having females that don't get pollenated? I'm okay with seeds not being produced for future grows.
Lots more questions to come, for now just evaluating my approach. Please feel free to share any feedback, advice and ask any questions you'd like!!
Thank you so much!

Seems like you have it all covered. I would recommend to keep it simple. Tent, intake, exhaust, air movement, lighting…control your environmentals through your lung room. Carbon filter on your exhaust fan with the tubing out the window. Research the clones you’re going to want. Start IPM early. Keep your grow and surrounding area as clean as possible. Don’t over do it. Less is more.

Welcome to the world of gardening, what your asking are huge questions with many options and numerous answers. Seems like you have airflow figured out, I wouldn't pull from outside like you say. Have to make sure that room is light tight, a bit of light during their sleep during flower can mess everything up. As far as watering, you will not need much at first so pick a method that you'll be able to adapt to meet the needs of your plants. We could go more in depth with all these questions but you should do a bit of your own research, get a base idea what you want to do and grow. This is a great forum to get answers. We will help as you get rolling.
