Long and short I've murdered a few seedlings at this point and I could use some guidance to the question I can't seem to find the answers to. The first met their demise in a particularly acidic batch of peat moss, switched to organic soil and I still am having issues. Right now I'm in a fox farm ocean forest equivalent with pearlite added in, I have an aggressive amount of CFL's in the veg box I built and one question is am I killing them with too much light? I have 12 23w, 1600 lumens, and 5000k...should I only run half of them until they get bigger? I'm less than 6" away with my fixture so I wonder if thats too much. I also got some stuff called myco chum for the microbes in the soil and the guy said to use it right away but I'm sus that it might cause nutrient burn since theres already nutrients in the soil but if it WOULD help I'd try and use it when I moisten the soil from the beginning when I plant the germinated seed. I'm using a ton of bag seed which isn't ideal since who knows if its genetics suck but I'm tryin to dial in my set up so it's not a loss that I've killed a few lol. When I grew a decade ago solo cups were always my kryptonite, I'm guessing the genetics of the femanized berry bomb seeds I had then helped me get through. That was more long than short but I tried to cover all the bases of what ppl ask in reply while I've been searching, water is dechlorinated tap water...EC 226, PH 6.6 and PPM 114 from the tap no ph adjustment

For germ and seedlings you only need one bright LED with a reflector at around 10” for the first couple of days
