Waiting for trichomes to change…

This is week 12 of my first grow of Gelato autoflowers. Using 4x4 tent, Mars Hydro TSW2000 LED light, soil and synthetic nutes. The seeds said 9 weeks from seed to harvest, so I flushed two weeks ago and have just been giving them PH balanced water. Just wanted to check that I am doing things correctly. I have been following your book!!

I always wait until I see some amber before "end of grow" actions.

Looks good! Still see lots of white hairs sticking up so probably not quite ready for harvest yet.

Those seed to harvest weeks are usually underestimated.

I would stick to PH'd water at this phase and try and ride it out as long as possible.

Your plants are surviving on the nutrients stored in the leaves. Once all your leaves have faded and died off there is nothing left for the plant to feed on. You should probably harvest if you get to that point even if the trichomes are not where you want.
