You'll probably get lots of different opinions on this one. I personally like to top when the plant had reached its 5th node. At that point, I'll top down to the 3rd node if it's a stretchy stain or i'll top at the 5th node if it's a plant that is more squat.
@Jay Pepe If I'm counting correctly, you're at the 5th node now - about to be on the 6th node. You can start LST at any time really. I personally like to top first then do LST on the lower branches as they grow up. There are so many different ways to go about it.
