i know I should only be using water for 20-40 days of the plants life due to nutrients already pre amended. Now when I transplant, does that mean i won’t have to water for another 20-40 days? when do I start feeding after final transplant?

Got a pic of the plant? It really depends on the size and root structure.
If you transplant a seedling in a solo cup that's been growing for 10 days to a 3-gal pot, then it should have enough nutrients for another 20-30 days or so.
If you transplant a 10-inch plant that's been growing in a 1gal container for 20 days, then transplant into a 3gal container, well then then the nutrients in the transplanted soil may only last 10-20 days.
